Cibeles at night (2021-2023)
For Marco, one of my bestest friends.
and for Madrid, a city that endlessly inspires me
The Plaza de Cibeles is a neo-classical square that features Cybele, the Greek goddess of fertility and nature. She lays on a chariot and holds a key to the city, which symbolizes the freedom bestowed upon its residents.
Although she may not be a resident herself, Batungbacal finds herself graced with a comparable sense of honor of being welcomed and engrained into Madrid as she strolls across Cibeles, particularly under the darkness of the night.
